Hi guys! My name is Sergio Puente. I'm the creator of LaredoMusicScene.com
Laredo Music Scene was an idea that came to me a while back when my band, Sounds of Arson (shameless plug), was looking to book a show at a local venue. Rock bands are scarce in Laredo, TX, and to be honest having a day job and taking care of a family pretty much left me out of the loop when it came to the new talent in town.
So I thought, "if there was a website where all of us musicians can come together and share our music and see who's out there it would be a lot easier to find each other and put more shows together" and, "if this website was a place where any casual music fan can come and listen to local artists themselves, then that could bring these artists more followers and maybe encourage up and coming ones to put themselves out there".
So I finally gave it a shot to make this a reality. Laredo Music Scene is a place dedicated to bringing you all the music Laredo has to offer in one place and some interesting stuff from around the web.
I hope if you're a fan of music that you see for yourself how Laredo has a lot of talented artists worthy of your time and hopefully you can show them some support by going to their next show or buying some of their music.
If you're a musician, then I hope you know that we are here to support you in your artistic endeavors. Our goal is to build a community of artists that lift each other up and strive to make each other better to represent our city of Laredo, TX.
